Is it January yet?

Seven days until Christmas and

I. Am. Done.

Couldn’t post last night; know why?  Because I was baking 16 boxes of Ninjabread cookies for the kids to decorate at tonight’s tenant party we are throwing.  Know why?  Because even though we’ve owned the property for five years (and never had a Christmas party before,) and I have to help with both kids’ Christmas parties this week, AND we are leaving to DRIVE to NEW JERSEY in  a few days, my husband thought this was the very, very best day possible to throw a party for 100 people.

"This is how we handle snitches," said the Ninjabread cookies in response to the Elf's, "I'm telling Santa!"

Oh well.  It’ll be fun.  I’ve got a face painter coming for the kids, plus we have crafts, gifts for all tenants, (lots!) of cookies and Henri is going to BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs.

Perhaps today was not the best morning for a 5 a.m. leg workout.  Oh, also – remember how the other day I wrote to you that I’m really sore and started taking Epsom salt baths?  Well, it’s been working so well that I decided to up my game.  I was going to buy Bengay to rub on my muscles but didn’t want to smell like an old person, so instead I bought this stuff called IcyHot.   Sounds way more athletic, huh?

IcyHot

And I’ve been really hurting because I’ve been doing so many straddle stretches.  I’ve never used the stuff before, so I put a big glob in my hands and then rubbed it into my hip flexors, that area where your thighs connect to your torso.  It said to use a small amount, but more is better, right?

Wait for it.

And 3, 2, 1…

OMG!  I JUST SET THE AREA AROUND MY V-JAY JAY ON FIRE!

So, what have we learned from reading today’s post?

  1. Don’t let my husband schedule the party, and
  2. If your hip flexors hurt, take Advil.

The end.

How’s your holiday season going?

P.S. – Congratulations again to our Hemp Hearts and Hemp Pro 70 winners, Cindy Meyer and Micahel Erb!  And thanks again to Manitoba Harvest for the giveaway!
