End Your Day Right

When you go to bed at night do you often feel like you have a million things to do and you have a tough time unwinding?  That’s where I’m at right now.

I read this article about becoming more productive (you can read it here:  Want to Be Truly Productive?) by doing seven tasks before ending your day.  That number seems far too big for me, so I’m going to try these three (3) for the rest of the week.

3 Ways to End Your Day Right

  1. To-Do-ListDo a brain dump.  Write down whatever is in your brain to get it out of your brain and onto paper (or computer.)  (But Lisa, isn’t that what your blog is?  Not entirely.  Most of the stuff that needs to be dumped from my brain is not blog worthy.  Trust me.)
  2. Create/review your to-do list.  Seems like a good idea to do it at night, that way I’ll have a game plan for the morning.
  3. Finish one “organizing” project.  The writer suggests scheduling 20 minutes doing some sort of clean up job each day.  Even if you don’t accomplish it in one night, you will have made progress and will be finished by the end of the week.  (I have my doubts about this one.  Have you met my family?  They sneeze papers and dirty socks EVERYWHERE.)

OK.  Let’s see if this works…

How about you?  Do you try to organize yourself at the end of the day?  Any tips you’d like to share?
