Zero Calorie Honey Mustard Salad Dressing Recipe
Labor Day is upon us. As we say good-bye to summer with our last barbeque, let’s make that salad a little healthier.
“But, Lisa,” you say, “aren’t salads already healthy?”
Good question, thanks for asking. Salads are as healthy as their ingredients. Green vegetables as a general rule are great, but when you add croutons, bacon, cheese and salad dressing you might be better off ordering a burger.
Caesar salad dressing is about 78 calories for 1 TBSP. Can we be honest here? Who uses just 1 TBSP? The bottom of my salad bowl looks like a lake sometimes.
Fear not! Here is my go-to recipe for zero calorie salad dressing that tastes just like honey mustard, minus the damage to your waistline.
Zero Calorie Honey Mustard Salad Dressing
Ingredients:
- Mustard
- Apple cider vinegar
- Stevia (or Splenda)
For one serving: Mix 2 TBSP mustard with 1 TBSP of apple cider vinegar and Stevia to taste.
Have a great weekend! And while you’re at the store shopping for these ingredients, check out my transformation story in this month’s edition of Muscle & Fitness Hers!
