Pop Quiz:  What’s your favorite carbohydrate?

I used to love, love, LOVE pasta, but the last time I ate it I felt sick to my stomach afterwards.  My current favorite carb is sweet potato.  If it is on my meal plan I give them their own special bowl and eat them after finishing the protein and veggies, so it’s like a prize for eating healthy.  If I could, I would probably cuddle it.

  1. Oatmeal with cinnamon. I would cuddle it too, ok maybe not.. but there is something comforting about a big bowl of piping hot rolled oats with a splash of almond milk and a dash of cinnamon.

  2. Bread, if banana bread and apple bread and orange loaf count. I have to bake 1 or 2 times every week to make snack for the kids at work. I purposely keep my breakfast at home very light so that I can have a few of these made from scratch snacks with the children!

    1. Banana bread is really yummy. I’ve never had apple bread before. It’s good you make breakfast accommodations to get to eat the yummy stuff!

  3. All of it! Especially oatmeal, bread, and pasta. I’ve been eating ravioli lately and they are delicious heavenly little pillows. Oatmeal is my weekend staple, though. Sweet potatoes are awesome.

  4. Pasta with melty buttery love used to be my fav. Bread also. And cereal! Oh, and mashed potatoes, too. Yet now it’s all about sweet potatoes & brown rice, but even those in moderation. Totally reeled in my greediness.
