October Goals
Every 1st of the month I write goals for myself, and at the end of the month I check back in to see how I did.
October Goals
- Do a split. If I make a daily concerted effort for 15-20 minutes per day, I think I will be able to do a split by the end of the month. This is important to me because three of the four required moves for the Fitness competition involve one form or another of a basic split.
- Finish editing my book. My editor has given me two (2) weeks to finish adding/deleting scenes and then I get to show it to 3 or 4 “beta readers”. Their job is to read it and tell me about any gaping holes in the plot they noticed and which sections they thought were the strongest/weakest and why. I then have one (1) week to incorporate all that feedback into the final (gulp!) rewrite. I’m really nervous about this one.
- Help Little Henry with his fine motor skills. My son is getting frustrated at nursery school because he is having a really hard time holding a pencil. His teacher said I need to help him develop his fine motor skills. I need to do a little research here to figure out hand exercises. I’m hoping that by the end of the month he will be able to write his name, or at least part of it.
A little piece of nostalgia here…last October I was COMPLETELY paranoid about gaining holiday weight, because although most people start their weight gain around Thanksgiving, I am an overachiever and start overeating around Halloween. If this is something you can relate to, you might enjoy this post: How to Keep the Holiday Weight Gain Off.
How about you? Do you have any goals for this month?

You are very good with your goals. I really should think about some for October. It’s been a while since I set any.
Go for it! It’s fun crossing things off your to-do list.
