August Goals

Each month I write up a list of goals and then check back in at the end of the month to see how I’ve done.  Well, I’m a day late, but here are my goals for August:

Write your goals!
Write your goals!

August Goals:

  1. Return to my exercise routine.   Due to my surgery I haven’t been allowed to exercise beyond a 30 minute walk and am not allowed to lift weights at all (not even a gallon of milk.)  But those restrictions are slowly being removed and I’m looking forward to getting back into the gym and training my clients again.
  2. Get my family to eat clean for breakfast.  “Eating Clean” means eating natural, unprocessed foods.  My husband and kids love their cereal, so I’m afraid I’ll be facing an uphill battle, but since school is starting soon I want to get them used to better nutrition.  Wish me luck.
  3. School Bootcamp.  Up until now my kids have been enjoying playing with toys and watching Netflix movies, which is fine – it is summer after all.  But school starts at the end of the month, so it’s time to bust out the multiplication flashcards and handwriting books.  Again…wish me luck!

How about you?  What are your goals for the month?

  1. try overnight oats in a jar with your kids for breakfast. They can pick the fruit and nuts they want to add (assuming no allergies) and pack the jar before they go to bed and in the morning, there is a yummy breakfast just waiting for them to dig in. there are tons of recipes on the web.
