My Day Just Got Interesting

Today started off totally stinky.  I overslept, missed my training session, forgot it was #$@% pajama day so had to run to Walmart to buy slippers for Rylee before the morning bell, Henry’s truck broke down again so I had to take him to work…You know.  Stinky morning.  But then….

Just found the cutest puppy EVER!

This little guy was running in the traffic with another puppy.  I tried to get them both but the other one ran someplace else and I couldn’t find him.

Look at that cute little face!  I contacted my HOA.  I’m sure he’s from my neighborhood.  I know nothing about dogs so I gave him a bowl of water and Cheerios.  Mel and Mama T from my team said to give him some chicken so I said, “Hey, little dude!  You’re lucky you were found by a bodybuilder.  I have lots of chicken!”

So you might be asking yourself right now, “Lisa, I’m so happy you rescued the world’s most adorable puppy.  How does that relate to health and fitness?”

Well, I was planning to write about menopause and weight gain today, so don’t you think the puppy was a better choice?  OK, I promise, promise my next post will be about health and fitness.

Lisa 🙂

Did any of you ever rescue a dog before?

  1. Hi! It is a pit bull and they are they BEST dogs you can possibly imagine. I have had one for 6 years….Elvis and found another one about 6 months ago. Same kind of thing, running lose on Parmer. She is WONDERFUL, couldn’t have asked for a better dog. Don’t be afraid of them! It is all about how you raise them! Love your post btw!

  2. That dog is for you!!!…what better training partner than a dog;)
I’ve rescued 3 …One pit bull mix too ( they are the best and most gentle!!!)

  3. Umm…he is seriously cute and sweet. I think you should keep him…Rylee and Henri and going to LOVE him.

  4. Lisa, he’s gorgeous! Like some of the earlier comments have pointed out, don’t get too hung up on breeds – a dog’s temperament is as much nuture as nature.

Of our three family dogs, two are crossed with “aggressive” breeds and they are the loveliest, cuddliest of all! So gentle, they’ll let you do anything with them (even hang humiliating signs around their neck while they sit there posing: http://peonut.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/20121026-185409.jpg )
