Honesty

Honesty is the best policy.  Unless you’re talking to your new trainer about what you ate over the holidays.  Then it’s important to LIE, LIE, LIE!

Unfortunately, I did not do this.  My new trainer, Mel, asked for my current meal plan, which I sent her and then I wrote, “ok, here’s what I’m really eating.”

“Thank you for your honesty,” she said and then put me on a strict sugar detox diet to follow until further notice.  Doh!  I get nothing sweet at all, not even Stevia.  Good-bye chocolate and berries.  Hello egg whites and fish.  In the words of my five year old, “That’s disgusting.  When can I eat kid food again?”

Mel also put me on notice that if I go overboard with the butter spray she’ll cut that too.

Trainers are mean.

  1. Yes trainers are mean. Mean people we grow to love and appreciate. Because they push to limits we didn’t know existed……aren’t you studying to be one? Lol?!!

    1. Yes, I am, because I want to be mean to other people 😉 Actually, I had such a positive experience I want to become a trainer to help other people reach their goals. And honestly I say things like, “trainers are mean” or “I hate you, Daniel” in jest. If it weren’t for them pushing me in the right direction I would be unhealthy and miserable.
