Texas Shredder Classic 2013 Winners
Congratulations to all athletes who competed at the Texas Shredder Classic 2013 last night! The show was packed! There were 382 contestants, a record for the event. My entire crew (that would be me) was busy snapping pictures and taking videos from the audience and then going backstage to get some candid shots and interviews.
I met some really interesting people: A woman with thyroid cancer who dropped over 100 lbs, a man who didn’t start competing until he was 54, a teenager in her senior year of high school looking towards her future. I met mothers, sisters, friends in the audience supporting their loved ones. Their stories will be posted over the next day or two, so be sure to check back.
I’ll also be posting photo albums and video clips on my fb page. Please like my FB page!! http://www.facebook.com/ShesLosingItnet
One last quick note before you enjoy your cheater’s weekend. This is for the contestant who told me, “I failed.” No you didn’t. Ask yourself these questions:
- Did you set a really difficult challenge for yourself and then follow through with it? Then you’ve won.
- Do you feel healthier and look better today then you did 12 weeks ago? Then you’ve won.
- Did you discover mental strength you didn’t even know you possessed? You didn’t fail, you’ve won.
Not everyone has a Cinderella story. (I sure don’t!) Let it inspire you, make you hungry to do better next time.
Here are some pictures.
More pics coming after I get back from Bootycamp with Mel’s Machines. (I’m a bodybuilder too, remember!)

This is so inspiring. You’re so lucky tone involved in this event. Great post.
Thanks – It was really inspiring to watch the athletes and talk to them backstage.
Oops. Typo. I meant to be involved….
Can’t wait to hear about the details!
There are some pretty fascinating people who do this. Everyone has a story, you know?
Robin Johnson is my trainer, proud to be part of Team Conquer.
He did great! I’m going to do a longer post about him and the team. If you have some team photos please email to me.
