February Goals
I’m going back to writing out 3-5 monthly goals. It seemed to work for me.
Goals for February
- Sign up for my certified personal trainer (CPT) exam and pass it.
- Cook ahead on the weekends. I think this will help me stick to my meal plans more effectively.
- Start up progress pictures again* to motivate me to train harder.
*Mel has a rule that no one on the team can post progress pictures on FB until after the competion because sometimes people make mean comments and it turns a motivational tool into a negative experience, so I will take the pics but not post them until June. Sorry – have to follow the rules!
How about you? Do you have any fitness goals for February?

Lisa, which organization are you getting certified through? Adam has looked into it, but there are so many different options, how do you know which one is most widely recognized and accepted?
I am doing NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) because two trainers I respect (Daniel and my friend Claire) are certified through them. It’s expensive though. $600 for the books + exam, but you can spread the payments out over the year, which is what I’m doing. Talk to trainers you know/admire and see which test they took. There are TONS of them out there.
I need to start cooking my meals ahead of time too!
I’m going to make Sundays my food prep day. That worked for me during my first show.
I am switching over to a vegan diet. Talk about a need for meal planning!
Good luck! Make sure you get enough protein. I have a blogger friend who is vegan and a bodybuilder. I think she started a new blog but the old blog is: life with a dash of pepper. http://lifewithadashofpepper.wordpress.com/2012/11/19/gluten-free-and-vegan-perfect-together/
With my busy season kicking in at work, my goal is to make better efforts with making meals for lunch AND getting to the gym. I can do it!
Of course you can do it! 🙂
Same one as always, keep working hard! 🙂 Good luck with your certification, very cool!
Thanks – I haven’t studied anatomy/biology/chemistry since high school so it’s hurting my brain a little. LOL
My new goal is to add cardio into my routine at least 3 days a week.
That’s a great goal! It will build your endurance.
I’ve started off Feb with a juice cleanse and am doing ab exercises every day 🙂
I’m going to hopefully getting to my feb goals tomorrow. Better late than never!
I agree, goals help motivate me too. I just started a half-marathon training plan. My goal is to stick to it without missing a run.
