2025 – Finish Strong

Howdy everyone!

There are only 50 days until the end of the year! Only 44 days until Christmas. Only 16 days until Thanksgiving. And only 4 days until I run my first 5k race in years!!!

I’ve been training fairly consistently, run/walking or cycling three times per week, plus weight lifting at MVP Elite Fitness since September.

In between workouts, I’ve been working at selling my fantasy fiction books To Rescue a Witch and To Condemn a Witch at local markets (which requires standing all day, so I count it towards exercise) and I’ve also been hiking in local parks with my husband, Henri.

Last month, October, I focused on eating clean, which, was really $#@! tough during Halloween season, may I add.

The consistent effort has been paying off. I’ve lost 10 lbs. and 12 inches. I’m fitting into my midsize jeans, which feels terrific. Who knew diet and exercise worked? (Everyone.)

My son, Henry, is in JROTC and the 5k Veterans race supports veterans and his booster club. He will be working the event with all the other cadets. He’s even run with me around the block a few times. Well, actually, he runs ahead, waits a little, then runs back to me. I run at the speed of walking. But that’s ok.

Once completed, my biggest 2025 fitness goal will be done.

How about you? Are you working on any fitness goals? If you started one and abandoned it, you still have 50 days to make progress. You can get a lot done in 50 days.
