How To Food Prep

I’m a firm believer in making my life easier.  That’s why I food prep twice per week.  When it’s time to eat my meal is ready to go and I don’t have to ask, “What’s for dinner?” because I already know.

Food prep!

Set up your Kitchen for Success

  1. Get rid of all the junk food in your pantry; if it’s not there you can’t eat it.
  2. Invest in Tupperware from the Dollar Store so you can prep your food ahead of time.
  3. Set aside one to two hours to bulk cook everything.  Typically I cook up my meals for the week on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday nights and portion them out into Tupperware.
  4. Make up kid lunches too.  If your kids take lunch to school, consider doing this task during food prep time.  Even better idea?  Have your kids make up their own lunch!  (Responsibility and all that.)

    Back to school!

How about you?  Did you food prep today?  Post your pic with the hashtags #ShesLosingIt and #SLIMethod to join in on the Fitness Challenge.
