We’re headed smack into the middle of the month.  How are your resolutions going?  A lot of the women I speak to and clients I work with start their weight loss journey with gusto but when the first plateau hits and their progress seems stalled they feel discouraged.

Try This One Weight Loss Trick

Pull out your next size smaller jeans and try them on every day until they fit.   At first they might only get partway up your thigh.  This is fine.  Keep eating clean and exercise.

Don’t worry about the scale because your water weight fluctuates constantly.  Jeans, however, don’t lie.  Stick with the healthy lifestyle and soon you will not only get the 12’s zipped up, but you’ll be ready to pull out the 10’s.  Continue this process until you are shopping in your closet for the size you want.

During my own weight loss journey I found that keeping my smaller jeans within sight was very motivating.  Once, and I totally can’t explain this, I actually dropped two pant sizes in the same week.  I’m not sure if that had to do with my metabolism beginning to torch up or the fact that women’s jean sizes make no sense, but I didn’t really care.  The day I fit into size 5’s was a seriously happy day for me.

Weight loss takes time.  You didn’t put on 40 pounds over night and you’re not going to lose it over night either.  But if you constantly motivate yourself with a tangible example of your goals (smaller pants) it becomes easier to attain.
