Vacation Is Over
Today was the first day back to school for my kids. It was also the first time I met with my trainer in a week because he was in Chicago.
Vacation is over.
I forgot how much homework there is on the first day of school…for me. Holy crap, there’s a ton of paperwork to fill out!
My trainer is back in town now and I’ve got two weeks until my next competition. He’s informed me that I will be doing leg workouts every other day to “fine tune” my hamstrings. Insert crying <<here>>.
But at least he’s happy with my weight, because if I hadn’t hit my mark it would have been one hell of a workout. As it was, he totally killed me. You know it’s a brutal leg day when the hex-bar deadlift is the easiest exercise of the day.

As you can see in the video, I’m pretty much crying in pain, but, as my incredibly cute tank top from my sponsor Shine Athletica says, “Never Give Up!” I don’t mind being pushed hard, heck I actually enjoy it, as long as I see results.
As much as I love summer vacation, I love the routine of the school year too. It’s a chance to get a fresh start. How about you? Are you happy to be getting back to the normal routine?
