10 Rules to Live By
The internet is full of rules to live by, so I thought it would be fun to write down some of the best advice I received throughout my life. I’m not even sure if they remember saying any of this stuff to me, but it helped me out, so I thought I’d share. #PayItForward
10 Rules to Live By
- Don’t marry a crazy person (my Dad)
- You have to take a stand for something or people will knock you down for anything (Dan)
- Don’t live your life for anyone else. #DoItforLisa (Deirdre)
- It’s easy to make people cry. Anyone can do that. The truly talented performer can make people laugh. If you can make them laugh you can make them cry. (Alexandra)
- Boys are stupid. (Liz)
- Don’t marry someone you can live with; marry the person you can’t live without. (Jules’ brother).
- If you are feeling overwhelmed tell yourself something you can do. Start simple, like “I can bake brownies.” Also, bake some brownies. (Jenny)
- You get five minutes to be nervous before taking a big test. Any longer than that is a waste of time. (Mom.)
- People are going to judge you. Dance anyway. (Dez)
- Stop being so hard on yourself; you’re better than you think you are. Go for it! (Henri)
How about you? What was the best advice you ever received?
