A Spring in My Step

Even though it was 25 degrees today, I’m in a good mood because spring is on the way.  I love spring.

When I was a kid I used to walk to the bus stop every day and look for buds on the tree branches, knowing that once they opened the snow would thaw and winter would be over.  It seemed to take forever sometimes.  But then, one morning, it didn’t even matter if it was cold that morning, there would be white blossoms on the tree and my spirits opened up as well.

That’s how it was this morning.  Yes, the trees are blooming, but I also feel like I’m seeing growth again with my fitness progress, and that’s just making me want to work harder towards my goals.  Also, I’ve been feeling creative again, something that has also been dormant inside me for a while.

Keeping that in mind, these are my Goals for March, just mini-steps towards the bigger picture:

  1. Make another YouTube video.  I had so much fun doing my first vlog post!  I’ve been scribbling down all sorts of ideas and can’t wait to film the next one.
  2. Get a full split on my left side.  If I can just get one split down that will give me so many more options for my fitness routine in July.
  3. Watch comedians.  One of my goals is to do stand up comedy at an amateur night by the end of the year.  I’ve never done that before, so I want to watch funny people to see how they craft their jokes so I can learn from them.  Plus, I love to laugh.
