Tell Me Something Good

Let’s keep things positive!  Every Tuesday I tell you the good things going on in my world and you tell me what you’re happy about.  Here’s my good news:

I’m on vacation!

We are visiting friends in Park City, Utah and it is gorgeous here.  They hooked us up with a home from Park City Vacation Rentals.  Park City is known for things like skiing, the Winter Olympics and the Sundance Film Festival.  This is a picture of Main Street.

As part of our vacation rental we were picked up from the airport.  Our driver was friendly and gave us the low down on the most important question of the day:  Are we allowed to drink alcohol here?

The short answer is yes.  The more interesting part of the answer is, “Yes, but the bartender has to mix it out of the customer’s view.  The rule is called Zion’s Curtain.”  Also, EVERYONE who orders alcohol is carded, even if you are 80 years old.  So, of course, I had to order a cocktail.  It was delicious, especially since I had to prove that I was 21 first.  😉

The house we are staying in is a 3 bedroom, three bath historical house one block away from Main Street and has been fully remodeled.  Inside it has a jacuzzi and grill and every kind of upgrade you can imagine.  Also, it has things like HBO so I can catch up on all my favorite shows.  (WHERE.  ARE.  MY DRAGONS?!?)  The kitchen is to die for.  Not to brag but I’ve been making up the food from my meal plan and I only set off the smoke alarms twice.

My husband, Henri, is actually getting a chance to relax, and that’s nice to see.  We’ve been hiking and going to street festivals and enjoying the laid back environment.  Here are some more pictures from our vacay.
