Cold Coffee and Tilapia

My hand wrapped around the white mug, a remembrance of heat still lingering on it.  Alas, the coffee inside the cup was cold.  I think if I ever did anything really, really bad and ended up in Hell they would serve cold coffee and tilapia.  God, I hate fish!  And I know what I’m talking about here too; as a novice bodybuilder I sometimes have to eat tilapia up to three times per day!

Whether you want to or have to eat fish, here are:

3 Recipes to Make Tilapia Taste Better

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Lemon Garlic Tilapia from Allrecipes.com.   This recipe was good because the lemon removed a lot of the “fishy” taste.

Spicy Tilapia

Baked Tilapia with Lots of Spice from Food.com.  They weren’t kidding when they said lots of spice!  This recipe has quite a kick to it, which compliments rather plain Jane sides of brown rice and asparagus.

Tosca's Tilpai
Tosca’s Tilapia

Tosca’s Keep-It-Tight Tilapia from EatCleanDiet.com.  Tosca Reno is the woman who gave fame to Eating Clean.  She’s written over a dozen books on the subject.  To be honest, I looked at this recipe and thought I would hate it since it had chili powder and cayenne pepper and that combo can be pretty hot on my taste buds, but this was actually my favorite one because it had a little kick without going overboard.

How about you?  Do you have any favorite fish recipes or spices you like to use?

  1. I’ve found that not all Tilapia is created equal. We get ours from Costco & the taste is very agreeable. We got a bag from HEB once, though, & ended up throwing it out because it tasted horrible. With the Costco fish, all we need is lemon & garlic. Yum, yum!
