Progress Pics – Training with Melissa Merritt Coker
I started training with Melissa Merritt Coker in January 2013 on her all women’s bodybuilding team called Mel’s Machines. To be honest, I was nervous about being on an all women’s team (think: Mean Girls,) but it ended up being one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. There is something to be said about going through an ordeal (such as show prep) with friends who understand EXACTLY what you are going through. Training days turned into laugh fests and we pushed ourselves to never give up.
Mel is more than a trainer, she’s like having your own personal cheerleader. Very knowledgeable, tough as nails, and truly cares about her girls. And did I mention she helped me create a booty out of thin air?
If you are looking for a personal trainer and/or nutritionist, I highly recommend her. She can be reached at: Mel’s Machines

Thank you, Mel! Thank you for helping me get strong enough to do an unassisted chin up by myself. At age 39 my body is better now than it was at 25. I can’t wait to train with you for the next show.
Wish me luck today!
Also – please help me get 1,000 “likes” on my FB page.
