Hello world!
She’s Losing It! is a blog about my own journey into transforming my size 14 body into a bikini body in five months by entering a female body building competition. In this memoir I will recount my ongoing adventures and share some of the diet tips and exercises my trainer, Daniel Rufini, designed for me.
On January 1, 2012 I weighed 150 lbs and felt just awful. Saying, “I’m going to be healthy from now on,” was not working for me, so I gave myself a very specific goal. At age 38 and size 14 I was going to train for a female body building competition. I figured facing public humiliation in a bikini would be an excellent motivator…and guess what? I was right!
I also discovered that after a month of working out on my own and only losing 4 lbs I needed some help. I signed up for ten personal training sessions with Daniel Rufini. In the first month I dropped from a size 12 to a size 5! As of today, June 9, 2012, I lost 40 lbs, went from a size 14 to a size 1 and re-evaluated my life in the process.
I’m happier, more confident, and my family life is much stronger now. I hope reading about my ups and downs might inspire someone to set their own fitness goals.
I’ve already signed up for my next competition! The really cool thing about entering this competition is that even if I lose…I’ve won.

push. Many blessing to you!
Thanks, Patricia! We all need extra pushing from time to time. Now that my first competition is over at least a dozen people have sent me emails to make sure I don’t go overboard with junk food. Every bit of encouragement helps and good luck to you on your fitness quest!
