Operation Booty Boost
Yesterday my sister-in-law, Cindy, posted on Facebook an article about this Swedish personal trainer who has a new program out called the Butt Bible, or something like that. I watched the demo (how could I not?) and at the end of it she challenged (I’m paraphrasing here,) “Squeeze your glute and slap it and if it jiggles for more than three seconds you need some work.”
And 3, 2, 1…
I don’t know what I felt sadder about: the fact that I was in front of the bathroom mirror slapping my own butt or that it jiggled for longer than three seconds. *Sigh*
Not that I was surprised by the result. My feedback from the judges at the last competition said I needed to focus on my glutes and hamstrings if I wanted to place higher. #IWantToWin
Anyway, today was the first official day of #OperationBootyBoost. While similar to my initial #OperationAssLift during my first bodybuilding competition three years ago, that one focused on lifting my saggy butt off the ground and this one is aimed at rounding it up.
So, guess I’ll be doing lots of squats and lunges for the next seven weeks. Because if I can round it up, then I will enter the Naturally Fit show on June 6th. But if rebel insurgents come in to distract me from the mission, I will just keep squatting until the Texas State Naturals in October.
How about you? What’s your favorite booty boosting exercise?
Side note – The above picture is from my friend Cynthia who thought it would be funny to take a booty shot after the Texas Shredder last weekend. Thanks 😉

since entering my fab 40’s my butt has sagged. I love hamstring curls on the ball. Lifts it back up pretty well.
Hmm – never tried those on a ball. Thanks for the tip!
