I’m Too Busy to Take Care of Myself Challenge
“I’m too busy” is one of the most common reasons/excuses for not leading a healthy lifestyle. I totally fall into this category at the moment, but I don’t want to be in this category: I want to remain healthy. I need to remain healthy to take care of everyone else. So I’ve set up small, baby-step challenges for myself. If anyone wants to join me, feel free to do these challenges with me and blog, post, comment or tweet about them. Maybe if we are in this together it will help us stay motivated. (You will note that this challenge starts today, on the 5th of the month. Why? Because I was too damn busy to think this up on the 1st!) Here we go:
I’m Too Busy to Take Care of Myself Challenge

- #24 – Go through your underwear drawer. Throw away anything that doesn’t make you feel fabulous.
- #25 – Lift weights and get an arm workout in. If you don’t have weights, try lifting water bottles.
Bonus Challenges:
- Call a friend.
- Take a nap and don’t even feel remotely guilty about it.
- Look back over your month. Celebrate any mini-victories. Create some new goals for yourself.

I lift camera equipment, does that count? LOL
LOL. Some of that equipment is heavy, so yeah 😉
Lisa, can you, each day you blog, put a little reminder of what that days challenge was? Then I don’t have to think so much about what I am supposed to be doing each day! Hope to see you at the gym soon!
That is an excellent point. Will do!
Great routine. How I wish I can fit these all in my schedule. I am interested in doing the Epsom salt bath, I just recently played volleyball after years of not playing so hello sore muscles, plus a sprain on my left foot. Thank you for posting.
Ouch! Hope you feel better. Did you ice the sprained foot? That will help reduce swelling. Epsom salt baths feel great and help with soreness. So do creams like Icy Hot and supplements like L-glutamine. Good for you for getting back into volleyball 🙂
I like this challenge….and may start it now 🙂
Please do! You can start anytime and do the challenges that work for you.
