Standing Is Still Going

Mondays can be rough.  Just ask Garfield.  But no matter what day of the week it is there will be some days when you just feel frustrated in your fitness.  You go to the gym, workout, and don’t see any changes.  You eat clean three days in a row and, again, you don’t see any changes.  This is the point where most people give up, because it feels like you’re just standing still.   In this moment make the following Swahili Proverb your mantra:

Standing is still going.

The truth is that if you are trying to lose weight it won’t happen overnight.  Not if you are going to get fit in a healthy, attainable way and not do some crash yo-yo diet that will ultimately wreck your metabolism.

But if you keep at consistently – eat clean and exercise at least 95% of the time – you will see results.  Some days will be hard.  Some days you will ask yourself, “Why am I doing this?”  But one day, if you keep standing up for yourself and your own goals, you will be able to say:

I am fit.

And it all was worth it.  Be healthy.
