30×30 Burpee Challenge
On May 17th some friends from Mel’s Machines and I will be doing the Spartan Run, which is an 8 mile run with 20+ obstacles in between. Never having done this before, I have no idea how to train for this.
Well guess what I found out today? If you don’t (or can’t) complete an obstacle, you have to do 30 burpees as punishment before you can continue a race.

Anyway, I’m interviewing Joe De Sena, the co-creator of the Spartan Run event, later this week, about his new book. He says the first thing to do to prepare is to do 30 burpees a day for 30 days. My husband is all smug because he just finished his 30 and I still have to do mine after this post. Humpf.
