November Goals

Happy November!  One of the most powerful things I used to do to keep myself on track was to write up monthly goals and then check back at the end of the month to see how I did.  Some months I was a rock star, other months were epic fails, but most were a mixed bag.  The way I view it though, if you don’t know what you’re aiming for, how will you ever get there?

So without further ado, here are my goals for November:

  1. Start training for Spartan Run.
  2. Find healthy recipes for Thanksgiving.

Spartan Run – this will be a family affair.  My kids and husband will be doing the run as well.   Two years ago Rylee and Henry did the Spartan Kids and my husband, Henri, and I have run a Spartan Sprint (3 miles, 15+ obstacles) and a Spartan Super (8 miles, 20+ obstacles).  The event is May 20, so this gives us enough time to build up our endurance and upper body strength.

Healthy recipes – Every few years I have the great idea to cook an organic turkey only to go to the store and realize that it costs like a bazillion dollars.  So instead I’ll focus on creating healthy side dishes.  Wish me luck!
