My New Favorite Thing

My gym bag is a mess.  It’s got gloves, clothes, a towel, water bottles and a ton of supplements and protein powders in various sippy cups because A) I’m a mom and B) it’s easier to put powders in smaller containers than to lug multiple big 3 gallons jug to the gym.

But now, I don’t have to do that.  Because BlenderBottle just sent me their new ProStak plus expander pack to review.

Before we go any further, I just want you to know that I haven’t received any payment for this post (sadly) beyond the free product to try out.  But I have to say, I love this thing and here’s why:

It solves my gym bag problem by keeping all my stuff organized and in one place.

Let’s break down each section.  First, there’s the shaker bottle.  I only discovered shaker bottles a few years ago.  Normally, if you add a scoop of protein powder to a bottle of water there is always a dry clump at the bottom that never quite mixes right.  This contains a patented BlenderBall, which acts like a wire whisk to mix up your shake for you.  It’s very effective.

The side of the bottle has embossed ounce and milliliter markings to make measuring easy.  The lid has a StayOpen flip cap and a nice hook to loop your finger through for easier carrying.

Now for the cool extras.  There’s a Twist n’ Lock pill tray that screws into the lid for holding all your BCAA and fat burner supplements.  You wouldn’t even know it was there unless you looked for it.

Then there are two stackable cups with lids in sizes 150 cc and 100 cc that come with it.  I used them for my creatine and pre-workout powder.

The BlenderBottle ProStak alone covers most of my strength training pre and post workout supplement needs.  But, there are times when you need more food or supplements, like when you are flying somewhere and have to prepare for potential delays, or if you’re a mom and want to take the kids to the beach for the day.  That’s where the Expansion Pak comes in.

The Expansion Pak includes 250 cc jar, 150 cc jar, 100 cc jar and removable Twist n’ Lock pill organizer.  In this Pak I put in chocolate protein powder, amino powder and some almonds.

I think as a mom I would also pack more snack foods in there.  For example, a hard boiled egg fits well in the 150 cc jar because the lid arches up in the inside so it doesn’t crack it, but I’d also put in things like strawberries and baby carrots.

The coolest thing is that they all interlock together to make one giant tower of snacks and supplements that still fits into a standard gym bag.

Now I know where everything is and it doesn’t take up much space.  And since they are interchangeable you can also leave the containers you don’t need at home.

It comes in a variety of colors (black, aqua, blue, gree, orange, red, pink and purple) is BPA Free and dishwasher safe.  It’s very affordable and sells for $13.99.  The Expansion Pak sells for $8.99.  You can buy yours here:  www.blenderbottle.com

I would highly recommend this product to both avid Gym Rats and moms on the go.

Stay healthy!

  1. I just bought 2. One for me and one for a friend. I’m excited. Can’t wait to give it to her. I can through out the sandwich baggies for supplements and no more lumps!
