Pop Quiz: Vacation
It’s January 2; time for most people to get back to work or school. Unless your my kids – then you’re off until the 8th (!?!) When I was in my 20’s if I had to be at work at 8 a.m., then I made sure my flight home came no earlier than 7 a.m. that same morning, because heaven FORBID that I would miss one valuable moment of vacation time.
Now that I’m a mom and have to coordinate lunches, and schedules, and pick all the smushed raisins off my winter coat (long story,) I find myself longing for a vacation from my vacation, or at least a day or two to get everyone back with the program before starting “normal” life again.
How about you? Do you vacation to the last possible moment or do you take a day or two to unwind from your time off?

No, me and hubby don’t take vacation until the last day of our leave. We usually return 2 days before hand to take one day to get house in order and one day to rest from the hecticness of being on vacation.
Kudos to you for getting your house in order in one day!
